Privacy
Short version: Diskferry reads your drive on your own PC and sends nothing about you or your files anywhere. This website only counts anonymous page views and sets no cookies.
Diskferry for Windows
- Diskferry reads the Mac drives and disk images you choose and copies files only to folders you choose on your PC. Your files and their names are never uploaded or sent to us.
- The app has no account, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not need an internet connection to read a drive.
- To find Mac drives, Diskferry starts a small helper with administrator rights after you approve the Windows prompt. The helper only opens drives that carry a Mac partition, read only, passes them to the app and exits. It does not stay running and does not connect to the internet.
- Diskferry keeps a diagnostic log on your PC (the drives and volumes it saw and any errors). It never leaves your PC unless you copy it and send it to us yourself.
- The download, the optional one-time purchase and updates are handled by the Microsoft Store. Microsoft processes that information under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We do not receive your payment details. Depending on your Windows settings, Windows may share crash reports with Microsoft, who make anonymous summaries available to app developers.
This website
- We count anonymous page views (page, referrer, country, browser, device type and any campaign parameters in the link) with Counterscale, an open-source tool we host ourselves. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage and stores no IP addresses. No other analytics, no third-party scripts and no third-party fonts.
- Like any web host, the server that delivers these pages may keep standard request logs (such as IP address, page and time) for security and operations. We do not use them to track you.
If you write to support@diskferry.com, we use your message and address only to answer you, and keep them as long as needed for that conversation. We never add you to a mailing list.
