Which kind of tool do you need?

  • You use the drive on Windows every day and need to write to it: a driver such as MacDrive or Paragon.
  • You need the files off once, safely: a read-only app. Diskferry never writes to the drive and checks every copy.
  • The drive moves between a Mac and a PC: consider exFAT once the files are safe.
